Lauri Karlström and Pascal Jardry started playing together and developing their artistic skills
during their studies with Prof Göran Söllscher and Gunnar Spjuth at the Malmö Academy of Music.
They continued their studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, at the Turku University
of Applied Science and at the international summer course for new music in Darmstadt. The Duo's
unique repertoire ranges from their own transcriptions of early music to modern classics like
Franco Donatoni and Brian Ferneyhough. Many composers have also written works especially for the
them. Lauri and Pascal's ambition is to highlight esthetical similarities in music from different
epochs by putting contemporary pieces into an historical context.
