about swedish hall concerts
Swedish Hall Concerts is a new London concert series devoted to Swedish music. The impetus for Swedish Hall Concerts, which take place in the Swedish Hall at the Swedish Church in London's central Marylebone district, comes from the Swedish-born London-based violinist Björn Kleiman.
Designed to promote Swedish music and increase the level of cooperation between British and Swedish
musicians in London, the series will feature music by contemporary and earlier Swedish composers
presented alongside standard classical music repertoire. Works by important Swedish composers
from the past—such as Johan Helmich Roman, Wilhelm Stenhammar,
and Hugo Alfvén—will be featured as well as music by the most outstanding Swedish composers of today.
